The Gordon-Cross Corporation holds exclusive rights from the U.S. giant Honeywell, for export sales to Japan of their specialized fluoropolymer barrier film called Aclar® Film.  This film is accepted as the global market share leader for clear, high moisture barrier film used by the Pharmaceutical industry to assure extended shelf life for today’s moisture sensitive pharmaceutical drugs.

Aclar® Film has a long and positive story of quality improvement due to hard work by Honeywell and with effort and input by Japanese and other Pharmaceutical customers.  This unique plastic film is used in industrial applications and pharmaceutical packaging where high barrier moisture protection is required.

Continuous Improving Manufacturing -

GC supports Honeywell International in its pursuit of continual quality improvement. For over 14 year GC has become an instrumental part of Aclar Film’s Quality Improvement at Honeywell’s extrusion and slitting plant in Pottsville, PA. USA.  Through monthly in-person visits to the Aclar Film plant with more conference calls in-between, the “kaizen process” is today fully a part of the manufacturing culture at Pottsville, PA.

Using commonly accepted “kaizen” tools, our teams exchange “kaizen” ideas and data between Japanese and Honeywell packaging engineers and Quality Assurance personnel. Over time this process of ongoing quality improvement has helped improve Aclar Film quality to a level that it is even commercially fully acceptable in Japan’s own domestic market by Japan’s biggest Pharma users.     (read more)

IMGWelcome to our company!

In the Beginning:
Established in 1990, the Gordon-Cross Corporation has been out front in the pursuit of globalized commerce. Robert Bradley was first Into southern China in 1985 just a year after
Deng Xiao-peng's  opened its five experimental economics zones near Hong Kong, GC went on to contract manufacture, import and then sell polystyrene plastic video cassettes to entertainment giants such as Disney and Warner Bros. This business model was successful for over 15 years.

Today:
During this period GC also expanded its global presence with work into the commercial development for Honeywell’s Aclar Film to Japan’s Pharma and Industrial markets.  GC’s approach was simple. We frequently visited in-person all top 25 Japanese and “foreign” ( Western Pharma) companies in Japan, we developed personal relationships, and came to understand technical and commercial requirements. Later converters were selected. qualified, and long term Supplier Agreements signed.  Today GC has an office in Osaka Japan and representatives in both Tokyo and Osaka. GC now exports and distributes Aclar® Film to Japan’s Pharmaceutical marketplace with sales including to all top Japanese Pharmaceutical user companies.

GC also maintains commercial relationships in China, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India
